I think they are darker though. Some alternative versions of Batman are mindblowing.

It took me a while before I considered watching the Avengers because I don't know the characters much so I don't feel involved, and I generally don't like when heroes team up (it makes them appear less heroic). I can't say I was disappointed because I wasn't expecting anything but I think Loki and Thor don't have any charisma (especially Loki) when you compare them to the actual Nordic mythology GODS. I do think that the concept is interesting though (the famous "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" statement). I never liked Ironman because he's just a playboy in an armour and he seems very unidimensional in the movies, as for the archer... he's so forgettable I forgot his name ! I've seen only one Hulk movie and it was a really really bad movie so it's hard to juge. I give him the benefit of doubt.

OK modi, but you won't like what you'll see ;)

Welcome to half the reason why heroes team up.. to knock their egos down a notch when viewed next to a competing personality with a different variation of 'character'.

That's why Suicide Squad and Justice League: Dark are so darn amusing.

I never said I liked the Justice League.

Although I find very necessary for real persons to work in team and lower their ego, I don't give a dam if heroes are unable to socialise ;)

Thor and Loki don't exactly have a lot of charisma in the original mythology though; not that I remember, at least. (Being Icelandic, I was forced to study the original book on this subject in painstaking detail when I was in School.)

This Disneyfied Thor in those comics/movies is pretty much as far from the original as you can get. In fact, the original has far more in common with the Hulk than that prince charming in the silver armor Marvel calls Thor.

When I first watched the Thor movie, I couldn't help but picture the look of horror on my old teachers faces if they were to ever see how Marvel had twisted their beloved history. :)

Seeing the Hulk beat up both of these "Gods" was funny as hell though.

One week out from heading to voting. A fun scatter of art - from the abstract by b9, a dozen-revision'ed iron man by snoopy, n02 kicking out the old school porker, and.. er.. ah.. an alleged spider man by coolfactor.

You have plenty of time to get an idea and knock it out!
