Online store product links

Posted 13 May 2015 - 11:55 PM

Hi fairly new to webdesign, hopefully someone can help me out here :)

I would like to link directly to some products on a website. i have a store link which i give to people, you can see the distID on the end https://www.foreverl...ID=440500036666

The problem is if i go directly to an item it doesn't show the id, therefore any link i use would default to the main page without an id. I've added the dist id to the end of a link item, it takes me to the store item but doesn't include the dist id, unless Ive been there before. Really hope someone can help, this getting quite infuriating for a noob.

thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what your specific question is. If that's some sort of affiliate ID or something that you add to links to get credit, why wouldn't you be able to manually add it to any link?

Hi ArtificialSoldier - basically forever give anyone who joins a online store. you can get a domain name and then forward it to the store link. My issue is i want to have a separate website which forwards to an individual product.
when i go to the product page, the url no longer contains the ID=440500036666. if you have visited before it remember cookies i guess. But the issue is you have never visited through my link then there is no ID associated to that URL/product. I tried adding the ID to the end of the product url, it would go to the product but it still wouldnt associate with the ID.

I know not an easy one, well not for me. Thats why I'm here asking the experts :)

Thanks again.

Make sure it's still using the correct name, distribID. Make sure the URL is formatted correctly. If you're sure that nothing is tracking then you'll just need to contact the store to ask them why.
