Do you ever put thought into what you're drinking, or just chug it down?
I used to drink almost nothing but pop and energy drinks. I wouldn't think a thing of having a couple pops and 3 Amps over the course of the day. Easily >1000 calories just in what I was drinking
And when I made my coffee, I used to doctor it up with like 4 blobs of sugar and a bunch of creamer, easily another 200 calories per cup.
I cut out the pop and amp, and started taking my coffee black. It took some getting used to, but caffeine and 0 calories is nice. And then the rest of the time I've been drinking water. On rare occasions I do diet pepsi* or treat myself to an amp.
*When I was a kid, my mom worked at a plant where all they stocked in the machines was diet. She got used to diet pepsi, started buying it at home, and I grew up drinking diet pepsi. Regular pepsi and coke are too syrupy or thick for my taste. Despite the rest of the post, this is not a health conscious decision. lol
