Networking Problems

Posted 11 July 2015 - 09:15 AM

Good Day dreamincode

I would like to seek help from anyone. It is regarding networking, My setup goes like this, I have and 2 ISP at home lets call it ISP1(4port MODEM/ROUTER TYPE) and 4 devices are connected PC1,PC2,NAS,HUB. To which the hub is connected to another HUB in to which it has 20 devices connected to it PC4-PC23, and ISP2(MODEM/ROUTER). My question is how to I make PC1,PC2,NAS get net connection from ISP1 ONLY, while PC4-PC23 should also get from ISP2 ONLY also.. thanks dreamincode. I have attached a diagram below

Well, if you disconnect the hubs from each other, you get exactly what you are wanting. But, from your diagram, the pc's and nas systems should be connecting to the hubs, not directly to the routers. The hub connects the computers together, forming a single network. From the diagram, you would have two separate networks.

kinda forgot to include my issue.. On my current setup PC4-23 sometimes get connection from ISP1 to which it should not be same as also with PC1-3 and the NAS. The HUB is necessary since on the hub the ISP2 group is already full. Basically the network setup I want to achieve is ISP1 group will only get from ISP1 same as ISP2 group getting only from ISP2 but they are still connected in a network. Its 2 networks networked together

Then you are kind of defeating the purpose of the hub. It is to ensure you can get online somewhere and connect.

You may look into assigning dedicated IP's to the components (PC's, NAS) on the router level. Other than that, not sure what to tell you.
