How the hell does it make sense to send your network admin, your graphic designer, and your director of continuous improvement to a programming course all within this month, and when your lead programmer asks about a course that actually makes fucking sense you tell them, it won't be until the end of the year that they can allow for that.

I'd like to talk about my weekend but if I did an admin would need to have a little chat with me about what's appropriate. So I'll just say I'm craving L&L Hawaiian BBQ like a mofo, I need to make a stop on my way home.

I'm studying for my Network+ exam, and later this evening I'll hack away at (re)learning C, using my old college textbook. As far as I can tell, C hasn't changed much in the last decade.

Just received the following message from my best friend: "Hey, if I'm on a conference call and I fart, can they hear it?"

Presently working on an ajaxian modular file uploaded. With the new constraints of, the developer can choose from a list of acceptable file 'type' that can be uploaded for their specific usage. All while storing every bit of info about the file in a database, including when it should be removed.

It's Monday, and I have a fresh, piping hot, delicious cup of black coffee... so it's off to a good start.

Hope it stays that way, Happy monday! :P/>

If that coffee is still piping hot and delicious, she's doing it wrong.

In cyberspace, nobody can hear you fart.

Re: What are you working on today?

Just finished a troubling weekend. Our online store was down and despite everything I checked, nothing seemed out of place. Talked to our payment processor and all was good. Nothing was making sense. Worried about it all weekend as the company was bleeding cash.

Came in early on Monday, went through the motions to try and solve it. Got people involved who said "Oh it is not that", but I didn't let up. Finally traced the problem back to our own IT department who thought it would be smart on a Friday to change some IPs of servers and such. Of course in doing so our payment processor then didn't recognize us and things went to hell. And you know what? Yeah, it was what I said it was.

Once we found out that crucial piece of info, we were able to update the payment processor and what do you know, payments started going through again. Now I can rest a bit and crank out some of my own code changes today. But damn, what a nightmare.

Trying to figure out why the dll used in the order entry system we use returns a 1 for when I save an object (cJobProcess), even though it doesn't save to the database. Then when I call save ob another object (cJobHeader) it also returns 1, but then clears out everything in other tables for the cJobProcess because the cJobProcess being saved actually failed when it returned a 1;.

Edit - To many semi-colons in my life.

Finally found a house. Getting ready to start moving stuff.

Just got home from camping. I'm completely worn out. But it's awesome, totally worth it.
