So I've been talking to this artist about a tattoo.

Think she's the one for it.
I had originally gone to her husband but he has a 4 month waiting list, hers is significantly shorter - and I suspect it will take multiple sessions, so I'd rather only have to wait a month between rather than 4.

Snow day and since I don't have a company laptop with vpn, I'm off. I don't mind the day off, but I got shit to do and a deadline to hit for one of the projects that is outside the scope of the current sprint!

That's the plan bingy.
I was ready to pay $250/hr for her husband. Her price is a bit lower, but her work is just as superb. Her husband, Kore, has people who fly in from all over the country (and others in some cases) for his work. They're both amazing artists imo, and this may wind up being across my entire back. The design is kind of big.
We've already started early discussion. Her studio's workflow is that first I pitch the design and it goes into her queue for review. If she's interested in doing the design, she gets in touch with me to start dialogue on it. Which she's done.
Then we set up our initial consultation. I'll go in in person, she checks out the area, then she'll draw it up on paper and present it to me. After that I can begin scheduling sessions to get it done.
I've always had a rule that I must want a design for 2 years before getting it, for anything large. Aside from minor modifications, I'm now closing on 2 months from that deadline for this design.

fantastic turnaround time
but that seems a bit exorbitant for a chair...

Well it's a gaming chair, and supposedly it's extremely comfortable. It also comes with a lifetime warranty. It's a bit pricey, but I think it will be worth it. If it is I will be getting a second one for Chelsea.

TurtleBeach claims that the z7's are also extremely comfortable for long gaming sessions, but at 32 grams and enough pressure to feel like your head is in a vice, I decidedly disagree with that.
Point: YMMV

That's lovely, based on the pictures I've seen of you I can totally imagine you with a full-leg flower piece.

Yes, that's exactly what I had in mind!
I'll post the design once it's sketched up (provided I can) - it involves music.

Wow, multi-headed mercurial repositories are a nightmare. It definitely doesn't handle branches/bookmarks nearly as well as git.
