POPULAR
Yesterday I got a call from an animal hospital that someone brought in my lost cat and they scanned her for a chip and found me. She's been missing since November, and was about 7 miles from my house across several major streets and right on the other side of a major freeway interchange. She probably stowed away in a parked vehicle, so that's why my posters didn't get much response. I skipped out of work a little early to go pick her up and bring her home. A little bit skittish and grumpy from being at the vet but she's happy to be home. I finally get to close the browser tabs for the lost and found listings, so that's cool. Incidentally, she was across the street from the data center we're getting ready to move all of our servers to.

Fixed some computer problems with PDF files and some guy's mouse wasn't working haha. Now time to study and keep these programs installing!

Actually ended up combating quite a few little computer problems with the people in the office across the street. I then ended up looking into a road bicycle I want to buy, VPNs, home servers, and PowerShell. I slacked on C++, but I'll get some in tonight and there is always all day tomorrow!
PowerShell is pretty awesome so far. I'm still playing around with basic commands, printing directories to text files and stuff like that, but this is pretty damn cool.

Just had an hour on the phone with a potential partner organization in India, walking them through our platform.
This could be fun - all of the little warts that we put up with because they're internal to our organization are getting a light shone on them, which means we're going to have to fix them, which means our product is going to be much better. Yay!
