You do realize the irony of posting that question to this online programming site, right?

Moving this question to the Corner Cubicle since nothing here is C/C++ specific.

"worth" is such a relative term. What's worth it to you, may not be worth it to me. Cost, time, eventual goals.... it's terribly difficult, impossible even, to give an opinion based on a single sentence question.

Which sites? What do you know now? What time commitment are you willing to put in? What other resources do you have available? What do you want to know? What do you want to do with what you know?

Whoa! It would be more fair if they sold Doctor's diplomas.
At least the reputation of those diplomas would be bad.
Now it's somewhat the same thing, but under reputable schools names.

That should be illegal.

Well, samantha10, that's cheating. If you believe you'll become a professional without the knowledge that'd make you so, you're fooling yourself in the worst way. You're so naive, ....

Well, Academic dishonesty will get you kicked out of school faster than a jingo at Pride, but I disagree that it should be illegal. It's shady and despicable, but part of why those institutions are so well respected is the rigor with which they test their students.

This may work at a diploma mill like ITT, but I suspect any respectable national university like MIT or Johns Hopkins would catch it.

What I meant was that if there are a number of cheaters passing the courses of good schools, and in work it's found that they lack basics they shouldn't lack, the schools get blamed.

There are "schools" from which you can buy diplomas, but companies pretty much know them and their reputation, so...

And it's kind of comparable with selling drugs.

samantha10,
Maybe you meant your question as a legitimate one. You may want us to answer whether it's worth getting "help" from sites such as the one you posted. The answer is a resounding no.

Everyone who goes to school to get a diploma, they get a preparation (knowledge) to perform a profession and build a career on it. Your future career depends on how well you learn and assimilate what your school is teaching you. Sites like DIC can help you with your homework in the good sense of the term; the experts here can give you guidance to unstuck yourself whenever you get stuck on your assignments. That way, your knowledge increases.

On the other hand, sites like the one that you posted does the work for you, leaving you without the experience that builds your knowledge, which is the truly worthwhile thing. Your future career will suffer, maybe in the worst possible way.

If you have the goal of becoming a professional and having a career as a programmer, software designer, or whatever; stay away from sites like the one you posted, and put the necessary effort into your studies to build your knowledge. In the long run, knowledge is all important. Keep that in mind.

It's funny how yuo sometimes need the knowledge you thought you'll never need...
I think I may soon need partial differential equations in a project together with matrix algebra...

oh if you meant the service should be illegal, and/or the selling of diplomas - a case could probably be made for fraud of some sort. But even that would be difficult.

Look up Mark Landis, interesting story. Guy forges art and donates it to museums. Nothing anyone can do about it because it's not illegal.

Yes. The whole business is based on fraud.
That Landis-case is also very questionable - if some museum had swapped those paintings with other museums...
And all in good faith...
