yea, i know, i wish i still had my algebra 2 notebook, but when you do the math, -i is the same as something, i think it comes out to -1 or soemthing. i know 4(-i) equals just 1. its real weird.

i=root(-1)
i^2 = -1
i^3 = i^2 * i (exponent rules kids) = -1*i = -i
i^4= i^2 * i^2 = -1 * -1 =1
^all that is all you need to figure out imaginary number problems why?
i^5 = i^4*i = 1* i = i
i^6 = i^4 * i^2 = 1 * -1 = -1
see the loop?

yeah i = root(-1)
so i^2 = -1, i^3 = -1i = -i
