No, score goes by survival and kills, there's 2 scoring systems. You can get 10 kills but die right out the gate and probably still be up there in score. Obviously, if you get more kills per game and survive to top 10 you get great scores. See, in that game, if you die, that's it, game over. There's no respawn, you're done, so it's a common to play tactically. It's a big map, it's sometimes easy to go the whole game and not come across anybody until there's only 20 (out of the 95ish) left.

If you see on the right, it says solo pct is 15%, that's top 15% right now. On the left it's being weird idk.

so I just realized that PUBG isn't a new derogatory term for pub servers. Laughing my ass off at the bad choice of acronym.

Could be worse you could be Susan Boyle who famously tweeted about her new album with the hastag

#susanalbumparty

which could be read of course as Su's Anal Bum Party.

Lately I've been playing Garry's Mod, Fortnite, and ESO. I've also been playing some TF2 here and there. I haven't gotten to much to play video games though, as I've been quite busy.

'Minecraft' Data Mining Reveals Players’ Darkest Secrets

Minecraft player Matt B., whose Reddit username is “worldseed,” is data-mining old servers in search of players’ darkest secrets. (He spoke to us anonymously, saying that he preferred to keep his online and offline identities separate.) Matt wrote two programs in Java: BookReader.jar and SignReader.jar. These applications scan a Minecraft map for every book and sign left behind by players. They then dump all these messages into a text file that Matt can search for terms like "treasure." Each log entry contains the exact in-game coordinates of the written document.

A few days ago, he founded the MinecraftDataMining subreddit and, so far, has enlisted around 30 volunteers in his efforts to dig up love letters, diaries, and bad high school poetry.
[...]
Discoveries range from the utterly bizarre, like the diary written from the perspective of a chicken found buried underground, to discarded documents of loneliness and grief. In one instance, Matt found what appears to be a player’s suicidal thoughts in a cave hidden below a house on a server that has been closed for five years.[...]

Purchased Celeste over the weekend. Fully worth the $20 asking price, if not more! So far I am loving the game, I have put in over 4 hours (4.4 according to steam) and have died over 1000 times. This game is definitely in the same vein as Super Meat Boy and other challenging platformers. I haven't felt that any of my deaths so far were unfair, and I have always managed to get through the areas I am having difficulty with as I learn what needs to happen (and then actually make it happen).

I am having more fun (and challenge) by trying to complete as much of the levels as I can on the first go. So I am on Chapter 2's B-side level, which is basically challenge mode for the chapter. I die a lot on B-side. But I have also learned some pretty advanced jumping techniques! I am just not very good at pulling them off reliably yet.

Before my OS/new HDD install I was repeatedly playing Elite Dangerous' basic flight combat tutorial.. trying to get a handle on flying with a keyboard and xbox controller.

Since the install I hadn't had time for games, but I may ease back into ED to see if I can handle the plethora of fighting.. though I think I lost my sheet for keyboard commands. Ugh.

Still playing Witcher 3. I've witched a lot of things, but there are still a lot of things that need witching. Once I've finished witching everything there is to witch I suppose I'll find something else to do.

A weekend project for anyone with an arduino and likes that minecraft.

MINECRAFT CREEPER DETECTOR

Quote

The Creeper Detector uses an 8 LED NeoPixel stick to give you valuable information about the nearest creeper.

When all LEDs are off, it means there are no creepers within 32 blocks. When all LEDs are on (they’ll be flashing as well), you’re within the 3 block detonation radius of the creeper (the radius at which the creeper will stop, light its fuse and explode).
