I decided to dip my feet into game development by creating my own Snake game.
And to make it a little bit harder i decided to make it work by 360 degrees instead of working like the classical one.

So today i think i will be working a bit on this snake game as well as reading some books. The more i read i just get more sucked into it, I'm at ~ chapter 4 in The C Programming language and even though i know about functions and loops if feels like this books takes it deeper explaining more in depth.

I wanna cry :/

Haven't been sleeping... nearly got to sleep last night, was just drifting off and the teenager text me some incoherent babble so I went to check on her... she was going through a depressive episode and was in complete meltdown mode... so I was up with her working through that until about 12:30 - 1:00 then after i got her to bed I tried to get some sleep... Wake up at 3am and had to start getting ready for work... got to work a half hour late... it's 5:40am now and I've got s far as loading my projects... was hoping my boss would be in already so I could apologize for flipping out on Friday before it becomes a thing...

Today I'm gonna try and finalize the GPIB stuff so I can have it off of my desk and get back to cleaning things up and making general improvements before I get handed the next thing that is completely unrealistic for me to complete...

My weekend was packed...

Friday: Doctors appointment in morning. Confirm I have arthritis in my knee, but not a torn miniscus, so yay? Took off work because I had 2 appointments. Squeezed in some band practice before going to a CD Release Party.

Saturday: Probably the most depressing show I've ever been to, but one of hell of a celebration. Lots of raw emotion.

Sunday: Bought a new pedal(Compressor) and fixed the action on my bass, played the alpha of the new Master of Orion game. Holy shit that MOO shows promise. Right now it feels a LOT like 2, which is awesome and exactly what I hoped for. Did find a few bugs, documented and reported them. I'm excited for it.

Benefit concert.

Neo previously mentioned her friends killed by a drunk driver on Valentines Day. I'm a fan of their music. Saturday I went up to the benefit being held to raise money for the families.

I remember that conversation, I'm glad the benefit went so well. It's always nice to know that they impacted so many lives.

sorry had to rush away

So Master of Orion is KIND of like Civilization in that it's a 4x game in which you take the role of the leader of a civilization. The map isn't a grid though, or not in the way you interact with it anyway. You have to deal with enemy and ally civilizations, of course. It also has tactical space combat.

From what I played, it definitely captures the feel of MOO2. I really cannot wait to see how it develops.

This weekend I bought a new washer and dryer. That came up to about $1500. Then on Sunday I took Chelsea to a few places for her birthday. We ended up getting a new bed set. Then we went to eat some Cajun food at Yatz.

Glad the benefit went well. I don't think I could have handled it, even if I was able to go.

Got almost everything out of the living room and kitchen unpacked, but just threw all the bedroom stuff in my bedroom, so now it looks like my storage unit. >_>

I'm sorry alapee :(

I've been having a meltdown for the past several days thinking about the horror that is coming this summer. I want to vomit. It's literally my worst nightmare. I remember the last time and I heard it's going to be worse this year. I thought we were good until 2021, but NOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. This means I will not be doing any gardening this year. *shudder*
