Need help on Programming in Visual Basic

Posted 08 May 2016 - 01:28 PM

So basically I have a Project due tomorrow I need help figuring how to get started

the Problem is that I have to create a program that lets a company . Ship package and depending on the weight of the packages

is how much the shipping and what Zone its from so basically there is 4 zones
A , B , C ,D
And about 5 weights it can possibly be in a sense
1,3,5,10 and over 10 but cant go over 25 pounds

the price are increasing but 15% each time

what its asking is to use a loop in an array to have the table setup with the loop so when someone puts in a weight and selects a Zone it will pull it from the array but the value are be made by the loop instead of the array

so the only code I have right now is

Dim Shippinglist(19) As Decimal I really need help

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Okay... so it's a lot of UI setup and a 2d array. What's the issue with startign?

i just dont understand how to setup the table because its not going to be visible in the program its going to be pulled i just dont understand how to and it must be used by a loop

It's an array. Most likely something global in the code behind.

I would assume to do the basic math... or not and just have it hard coded. Nothing really indicates 'use a loop to fill it'.

Being it's a 2d array you'll need nested loops.. one for the rows and one for the columns... a bit of basic math would do the trick in filling.

PS - you don't need to quote my post. I am certain I see what was written above.

Well.. how do you loop through an array normally?

Typically I like to think of the top loop being the rows and the inner loop being the columns.
