Experimental Learning

Posted 19 May 2016 - 03:23 PM

I was making a program to troll kids at my school*. I needed to know whether the SetMousePos() function in windows set the position to local coordinates or global coordinates so I decided instead of reading the documentation I would try it. If I clicked the mouse and it ended up in the corner of the screen I knew it was global if it ended up in the corner of the window I'd know it was local. It worked fine and I figured out after one click it was global. After the next click I realized I wouldn't be able to use my mouse as it would just set the cursor to the corner of the screen and then click...

*This program ended up running a process in the background that would intercept mouse clicks, move the mouse to a random position on the screen and then click.

This sounds malicious, and the exact type of activity we do not support. Please do not persist on this topic here.
