Hello i have an old dell poweredge 2850 and i have to use windows, unfortunately it only supports windows server 2008. I want to use this as a vpn server but noticed that win 2008 had its end of life last year.
Does this mean that stopped patching windows server 2008 remote accesses (vpn) as well?
Thank you

After doing a quick google, it seems that you are correct Windows Server 2008 has now ended it's mainstream support (Something that i have not noticed).
However it does look like it's in it's extended end support stage.
Complete list of OS and there support stages:

FAQ Section - if you go down to point 6 it describes the differences between support.

Your welcome, your thread threw me as i didn't think 2008 was completely out of support yet.
