[links] OmniSharp, C# editing in Sublime, Atom, etc.

Posted 03 July 2016 - 10:22 AM

Here is an interesting project, bringing C# editing capabilities to Atom, Brackets, Sublime Text, Emacs and Vim:

OmniSharp - Making cross-platform .NET a reality, and a pleasure
Microsoft Endorsing C# as a First Class Citizen in Sublime Text
OmniSharp Cross Platform .NET Development!

The answer to the question "why" is given as "providing options", I would also accept the answer "because we can!"

The status of the project looks to be ongoing and long term.

In terms of discussion value, has anyone experienced creating C# projects using OmniSharp in one of these editors? Was it a good, stable, experience? What's important that is missing?

If you think that using other IDE's than Visual Studio is a bad idea then you might state your case for this.
