Hello everyone!
I'm trying to install iTunes on Windows Vista but sadly I came to the conclusion that there's a compatibility issue!!!!!!!!
Does anyone have any tips on how to install it successfully?

Vista and Itunes like you found out just dont get along. Last time I heard Apple was working on a update to solve the issue but I have not heard anything since then.
Try searching from the application that replace Itunes. I forget the name of one I came across will allow you to update your Ipod music and will run on Vista. It is open source along with being free so try and search for something related to that for a temp solution. Apple should have a fix out soon because its been a know issue for a couple months now.

I have itunes running on my Vista box, no problem here. Make sure you run the install as administrator (right click run as admin), and that you set the itunes.exe executable to be run as admin by everyone all the time. Go to your itunes installation folder, find the itunes.exe file, right click and go to properties. Under the compatibility tab, check run this program as administrator.
You should be working fine. Under Vista x64, I get weird messages saying that I didn't install it properly and that I can't use the import from CD function, but that's just a load of bull because I actually can.
Good luck.

thanks guys!
I used this solution instead because nothing else was working
Windows Vista
1. On the Start menu, click All Programs.
2. Click Accessories.
3. Right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator from the shortcut menu.
4. When the User Account Control dialog appears, click Continue.
5. At the command prompt type the following:
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
6. Press Enter on your keyboard.
7. A message should appear stating "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded."
8. Click OK and try installing iTunes or QuickTime again.
