Could not find file

Posted 21 September 2016 - 02:23 PM

I am publishing my asp.net mvc to a server using visual studio 2015. But I get

Copying file obj\Debug\build.force to obj\Release\Package\PackageTmp\obj\Debug\build.force failed. Could not find file 'obj\Debug\build.force'

Any one with idea what this file means and where to find it "build.force"

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

I have no knowledge of this but, searching the error, there seems to be a lot of repetition of this advice:

Check if the folders "bin" and "obj" are checked-in to source control, if so delete those two folders in source control. There is no need to check-in these two folders to source folders. Also make sure that these folders "obj" and "bin" are deleted from your hard disk, they will be created again after a build.

I could be wrong but I'm guessing this is the main issue.
