In the screenshot there is a secondary panel/toolbar. I don't have this at work. Does anyone know what it is called and how I can show it?

Mouse over the tools and see what they are named.. then go menu spelunking.

Mousing over doesn't give me the name of the vertical bar/panel itself, just the names of the tools on it.

Well, yeah.. but you would have the list of icon names and could do a quick search with just those names.. which would point you to the location in the menu system would would give you a way to show/hide it.

Still can't discover its name. Nevermind.
Actually, at work, if I reset the Essentials Workspace it might reappear. I'll try it

You mean the brush presets, brush history and palette presets etc found under the windows > swatches.
