Whoopsie-daisy, or convenient excuse?

Never ascribe to malice what you can explain with incompetence. Someone fucked up. The delay is probably because the people in charge are weighing whether it's better to just make up a result based on the limited data they do have, or admit that they lost almost all of the data.

FWIW, NARAL is targeting four senators in particular coming out of the impeachment: Cory Gardner (R-CO), Martha McSally (R-AZ), Thom Tillis (R-NC), and Joni Ernst (R-IA)

Interesting to me that they're not mentioning Susan Collins, who seems like the worst of the lot.

Why is the National Association of Republican Anal Lovers targeting them? What did I miss?

Either way, I'm not sure if McSally is on the ballot this year or if it's the other one, or both, but I'm definitely voting for the astronaut.

Came across this. As a civics nerd, I cried, and then I stood up and cheered.

Both John McEntee and Hope Hicks are returning to work at the White House. WTF?!?!?!

Well color me unshocked.

President Trump, in contradiction to previous claims, told Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera Thursday that he sent Rudy Giuliani to Ukraine and he was “not at all” sorry for it.

"Was it strange to send Rudy Giuliani to Ukraine, your personal lawyer? Are you sorry you did that?" Geraldo asked the president in an interview on Fox News Radio affiliate WTAM.

“Not at all,” Trump said, praising Giuliani as a “great crime fighter.”

“So when you tell me, why did I use Rudy?” Trump continued. “Number one, he was the best prosecutor, you know, one of the very best prosecutors, and the best mayor.”
[...]
Trump denied he had ever directed Giuliani to go to Ukraine on his behalf. Trump suggested he did not have firsthand knowledge of Giuliani’s work in Ukraine, but had “heard” of it or “read that someplace.”

But hey, Susan Collins says he's totally learned his lesson and he'll be good from now on.

I'm not clear whether she said this before he sent staffers to campaign on her behalf, or after, but I'm sure it doesn't matter.
