I think Dr. Grosz was getting on that ethics should be part of the bed rock design and folk shouldn't let themselves be bullied past it.. so things like Mattel's barbie with 'AI' wouldn't have been marketed as "your child's new best friend".. or things are over sold, under sold, or flat out misrepresented... say chatbots.. etc.

My lesson from the weekend is perhaps don't go on a three and a quarter mile packed hike, abet around a local lake, when the heat index is 108 at the "coolest" part of the day.. say 3p to 5.30p. Turns out overly warm/borderline hot water sucks, cycling out all the fluids in your body isn't as cool as it sounds, and yo' shit will cramp up at rest. Sweat-sweat-shuffle blows.

The girlfiend left this morning to go to Mongolia for a couple of weeks on an archaeological dig.
It occurs to me that this would be a very convenient time to have a mid-life crisis. If I work fast, I could bang that sucker out and be done with it by the time she's back.

There were 9 of us involved, but I think I was the only one who had a death journey. Not everyone's was all angels and hippies, but mine was pretty far outside of saneland.
The good news is I can now legitimately relate to my wife's anxiety and other mental disorders. The only difference is she takes medicine to keep them away, and I need medicine to experience them.

I thought it was over, I thought my body was shutting down, that I had sweat out too much sodium and my neurons couldn't fire, and that I was literally going insane and the sun would come up any second and everyone would look at me like "WTF happened to him?" Then when I realized that only a few hours had passed, instead of the 8 or so it felt like, I realized that I was just having trouble relaxing (to put it mildly). Also, it didn't help that the guy next to me was conjuring Satan through belches for the better part of 2 hours. Then a couple days of reflection and processing and I'm back to normal.
Anyway, A++, would talk to the mother again.
