@jjhaag: Since my son is under 17 he can legally shoot a doe, in fact he gets 2 tags each year, a buck and a doe, but our hunting season is over so they now know its safe to come out in the open lol.

On a side note, we got almost 7 more inches of snow last night (Ill be taking more pics later and sharing them) with another winter storm moving in right behind it, which could drop just as much.

God just gotta love living in the country, where the simple act of getting to your car, and out the driveway is a feat in of itself lol

Here are a few more pics (as promised). If you look at the middle car you will see the actual amount of snow we're received in about the last 10 days, with another front rolling in:

The green "shed" you see is my smoker. We smoke sausage (deer and elk), this year I did a ham for Christmas. Yes we have crappy weather here, and there have been times when I cant get out my driveway, but as far as Im concerned there are too many upsides to living in the country (especially now that DSL is finally available where I live lol.

P.S: The "good" cars are in the garage, those are our "winter" cars (not that I really drive anything too fancy anyways, I prefer to spend $$ on "toys" rather than cars :D

that is pretty sweet i mis the country.
i guse were i live is not exactly a big city but it dosent feel the same.
we are close eoph to the mountins here though to get lots of deer.
they used to eat all our trees and tulips.
we found that if you hang a bar of soap from whatever you want not eaten it works. it keeps the deer from eating it. ever since this discovery we love the deer!!

Well Mother Nature has been at it again dammit! Woke up to 9 inches of fresh snow this morning, and its still coming down! Ya know, I love winter and all, but its been a long time since we've had a winter like this. So far this year we've had over 50 inches of snow where I live, and its only January!

Those photos are great, I like it when the snow is wet enough to stick to the trees and stuff.

I took a 'Winter' picture on my way into work this morning -

Luckeeeeeeee you would be able to see about 6 sets of break lights in that photo if I were to have taken the same shot on my way to work, and nothing but concrete

So far we have accumulated over 16 inches of snow in the past 24 hours  and its still coming down. They say we could possibly have another 14-16 inches by Friday. They say this is the worst storm in decades, right now its been snowing for over 24 straight hours.

Its to the point where I cant even get out of my driveway until my plow guy has enough time to get to mine, man this sucks

Here are some pics of one of my baby girls (the other is an 80 pound Rottweiler) Delilah is a 9 month old black lab:

We haven't been getting huge volumes of snow (it is the prairies, after all), but it's cold. Lows of -30 and below for the next 5 or 6 days, and at one point they were predicting a high of -32 and low of -43 for tomorrow.

no it doesn't suck, be glad you don't have to fight city traffic and you can just chill at home, work, and be snowed in and enjoy that beautiful scenery

Update:

Google may be going a little wacky with the weather forecasts...or at least I hope so. Tomorrow is going to be unpleasant otherwise:

Well, as you can imagine since I'm posting in this thread again we are getting the second third of our winter storm, we've got 4-5 inches since about 5AM (PST) and my wife took some really nice pics I want to post.

Keep in mind, the fence posts you see in the background on some of these pics are 5 1/2 foot posts
