Website review

Posted 28 May 2017 - 08:42 AM

Hi

I made a small website and tried to use all the critic I got from the previous one.
Could I get a little bit of feedback on what to improve? Thanks!

And especially, should I keep the color-change-effect or choose one colour?

http://ndvibes.comeze.com

Thanks!

Well, certainly interesting site. The big blocks of color changing on the front page is really distracting and makes the page feel a bit cheap. I also think the color scheme you have going is not the greatest. Neon colors on a dark background is a scheme I would never really recommend. I also noticed an interesting page notice from Chrome...

jsapi:22 A Parser-blocking, cross site (i.e. different eTLD+1) script, https://ajax.googlea...query-ui.min.js, is invoked via document.write. The network request for this script MAY be blocked by the browser in this or a future page load due to poor network connectivity. If blocked in this page load, it will be confirmed in a subsequent console message.See https://www.chromest...718547946799104 for more details.

So you may want to investigate fixing that up. I also noticed that on the front page, the three icons didn't all load. I had to hit the refresh button a couple of times and each time a new icon loaded until all three were shown.

Then on your portfolio page I saw a server 500 error. So I don't know if you are working on something with it. So keep working on things and keep in mind that while we may want to push the edge of design a bit, successful pages also stick to conventions and colors that are more the normal of all web pages.

:)

Hi!

Thanks, the Chrome-error should be fixed now.
The reason I get the error 500 sometimes and not all the icons load is because my website is running a whole Laravel 5-project
on 000webhost... I'm about to take a VPS when I got the money for it.

And yeah, I'll take one colour instead of letting them change the whole time.

Your feedback-wrapper's content is off-centre at larger resolutions.

At andrewsw: I'll fix that as soon as possible.
I by the way changed my whole color scheme, does it look better now?

That's a fairly obnoxious flavor of magenta.

At least try and keep the color triad in mind.

Also, i may add, that nowadays the most well known and experienced web agencies dont setting up their "years" lines at the first place, preferring marking the most unique features of their work.
