It was an attempt at humor toward AOL not yourself as a user.
You do what you gotta do, and make do with what you have. I just couldn't pass up a chance to make fun of AOL.

oh, then no offense taken. 
but i have to say i was a moron to want to get AOL in the first place...AOL sucks....its so slow and tis garbage...now they've gotten even worse, and i can't even sign off without having a popup ad window come up....but i can't wait...i'm gonna beg my dad to get rid of it after this month is over...tis our last free month, so we're gonna get a REAL ISP..hooray! soon no more aol...
