Well, I was testing one of the calls and it returned 404. So I dived into the code and found that if there is no data on the return or it throws an error or anything outside of it's intended purpose it throws a 404 or 500.
So, before I have an opportunity to really connect with my team and set some standards, I have to fix and document the backbone of the entire project.
This'll be fun.
On the plus side though, it's all written in C# which is not a language I've worked in before but one I need to learn for that side project so I can work with Xamarin as was suggested to me

PM sent! I am originally from the Seattle area, living just North of it now in Vancouver Canada. I will also second the fact that Portland is an up and coming city. Never been there myself, but my wife has and she can't stop raving about it's art and craft brewing scene.
P.S. Forgot to mention it in the PM but the Olympics are pretty nice. In some ways I like them better than the Cascades (where Mt. Rainier is)

- Cellmate asked if I had contacted HR about getting a list of new employees in our department.
- I said that I had not and asked if he could remember the name of the HR contact person.
- He told me her name and said our boss had emailed it to him and he was wondering if he should be the one to send the email.
- I told him it didn't matter to me... if he wanted to send it, he could send it; if he wanted me to send it, I'd send it.
- He started chanting "She told you to do it in the meeting! She told you to do it in the meeting!" Over and over for 2 or 3 minutes straight.
- "FORWARD THE NAME SHE SENT YOU AND I'LL SEND THE FUCKING EMAIL!"
- Not only did he NOT forward the name to me, he's all butthurt and refusing to speak to me.

Btw... currently working on the migration of some old custom Joomla code over to a modern Wordpress project we are building. It is going alright and will be interesting to see how it all works in the new system.

I would say it's done come up already, but who knows. They've definitely been working hard to get rid of all of the artists and musicians and writers and other riffraff, so it's nice and tidy now.
Worth a visit, if you're interested. If you have a couple of days to spare on the back end of your trip, you could ship your outdoor gear back home from Seattle and take a train down to Portland, check out the night life. The Laurelthirst Pub was always the place to go for some good music, you can get a walletectomy at Powell's and get a load of books in exchange, and so on.
