Nice thing about learning that song is you also get "I Wish I Was Back Home In Derry" by Bobby Sands, for free. (recorded by many folks, notably Chrishty Moore) This can be handy if you're ever playing in an Irish bar or around Paddy's Day.

My test lead just bitched me out this morning for being late and missing most of stand up 2 days in a row in front of everybody, and got others in on the conversation/argument. I pinged her and said "I appreciate feedback, you know I do, but next time could we go to a meeting room?" She responded that she thought everybody wanted to know why I missed standup 2 days in a row. Our freaking scrum master misses 3/5 days a week. WTF? I'm so pissed.

That's pretty broken. If that happened here, we'd be in a meeting with our head of People Strategies (which is what we're calling the department formerly known as Human Resources, Personnel, or whatever). And she would not be winning that meeting.

So came in today to find out that one of our processes involves printing out about 2500 pages and then scanning them in one by one to create a PDF.

Read that again.

So I'm currently messing with a PDF Printer to undo this atrocity.

A client system.

Like we log into a client system, pull up a document we need, print it out locally, and then scan the print-out so that we can have a local copy.

Cause you know, printing to PDF is too hard...
