Read a Number On Internet

Posted 06 November 2017 - 08:52 AM

Hello

first I want to apologize for my English
( do every thing i can at french school...and use google trad )

I learn to make Flash game with STENCYL ( prog by block )

so I understand nothing in coding :eek:/>/>/>/>/>/>/>
however, to finish the game I want to do, I have to come to use the block that allows you to write your own code
Actionscript. (just a simple little code, I think)

so, what I'm trying to do:
read the strength of the wind and gusts and the direction
in real time
on a page of this site, like this:
read the first 3 numbers of the first column (4 if we add the time, which could serve me for something else)
____________________________________________________________________________
I can not make anything work in this actioncript block!
I search codes self-service, which even does something else, like a drawing
But nothing works
I also try the forum STENCYL, without more success

____________________________________________________________________________

to begin, can you tell me if it is possible to get to read one of these number on this weather forecast site
or if it's just an unrealizable dream

I would suggest looking for a developer portal or web API to use it.. since scraping data is against their terms of use.

.. or, you know, just provide fake data and call it good. I mean it's a throw-away project or game, right?

I did not think about theft
(up to 2 or 3 numbers, over a whole page)

when to make a false weather, personal, I thought about it but for that, I need the date and the time (the real one, not that of the computer, which can be changed by the player)

A idea to find real DATE/TIME on internet ( with actionscript in acode block ?)

Flash on stencyl gime me time of my computer !

Do you need date and time of the player or where exactly? Do you need it in GMT? Mountain time? Something else?

Why not use the Flash/Actionscript built in functionality to convert to GMT or UTC regardless of the client's time.
