How to open files saved in iCloud Drive in Android Studio ?

Posted 21 December 2017 - 02:44 AM

Copied from SO...

So I have 2 Mac's. I use iCloud Drive, and on my MacBook Pro who I launch Android Studio I'm able to see my iCloud Drive folder in Users/UserName/com~UserName~iCloud.

On my new iMac however, when I launch AS and go to Open project, I can't see the iCloud Drive folder. Currently I'm having to manually copy the project from iCloud Drive onto my local drive then open it, which is a ball ache...

Anybody know how to resolve this ?

Thanks, J

P.S - Had no idea where to put this question, feel free to move as you see fit.

Android Studio aside for a moment... Are you sure you're logged in on the second Mac? Can you transfer other files? MP3 music files or JPG images?

FYI: I've seen some systems like TFS mangle Android Studio files. Consider zipping the project on one machine and pulling it down on the other, then decompressing it. Do your work, then upload a new compressed file. If you number them you also have a way to go back to an earlier version.
