Fiddler

Posted 05 January 2018 - 07:29 AM

Anyone use Fiddler? I have always used Postman, but cannot install it on the company machine. Fiddler was recommended, so I have it installed, but it is a different animal than I am use to, coming from Postman.

I use both but use Fiddler for monitoring rather than testing requests individually. Apparently, it is possible from Fiddler, go to the Composer tab. It looks basic in comparison to Postman.

Different target usage between Fiddler and Postman. I use both. My company recently blocked Postman downloads. Fortunately, I kept the a previous download around. :)

I also use SoapUI for... SOAP requests, WSDL imports and scripts, but it, also, can apparently be configured for single requests.

Search "alternatives to postman" to discover others, hopefully, one or two of which, you can install and consider.

Edit: or "alternates to postman" for those of a US persuasion ;)

"Alternatives" is fine there. I mean it's no "colour" or "maths". :^:

Yeah I'd actually probably default to alternatives for that. Alternates is always the verb in my brain.
