Wierd symbols when submitting new snippets

Posted 13 January 2008 - 11:13 AM

So I write some code in DevC++ and when I paste it into the text area all looks good but when I click on the Submit button then a weird symbols are shown instead of the code. This has happened more than once. Then the snippet has been unapproved by the moderator. Anybody :(

Links/snippet id's help when trying to figure out the problem.

As for the problem, it would appear that it is converting new lines and return carriages to their HTML entity equivalents. I have no idea why.

Here is a link to a current snippet waiting approval with the same problem.

PennyBoki, did you try putting the code into a standard text editor to remove any special formatting before pasting into the code snippet submission textarea?

Yes I did that, I copied the code from the IDE into Notepad and from Notepad I copied the code into the text area.

Is your clipboard the standard windows clipboard or are you using a different one?

I think it's the standard. I already submitted snippets, that were approved.
