How can I convert SQL Server data file version ?

Assuming I have file data northwnd.mdf version 2005 I want to convert to file data version 2008 or reverse ?

That is not the purpose of this forum. It is for you to investigate and make some efforts, and then you could come back if you have difficulties and need to ask for some guidance.

Especially as, presumably, you are doing this to explore the conversion process. (Otherwise, you would continue with the same database or find another one of Microsoft's samples.)
