Calling on CS Professionals and CS Educators to Improve Ed.

Posted 24 February 2018 - 08:07 AM

As current or former students, we can appreciate the effort that faculty put into their courses and we recognize that more could often be done. I'd ask that you would forward the link below on to computer science faculty you had as a student and who you think would be receptive. The link is for a questionnaire that forms part of a study to look at faculty perceptions and how computer science faculty structure their students' classroom experience. It will provide a landscape of currently used teaching styles, satisfaction with existing teaching styles and barriers to any change desired by faculty. At the conclusion of the study, a summary report will be posted at http://mlid.cps.cmic...les/summary.pdf

The data collected will provide useful information regarding how to support faculty and the results could be used to inform institutional policies and improve professional development for computer science and discipline related educators. The end goal is a better experience and education for faculty and students alike.

Yours sincerely,
Jesse Eickholt, [email protected]
