Hi I'm Alex!

My name is Alex. I am a full stack web developer. I am most comfortable in LAMP, but I've been diving into Node and React lately because that seems to be the hot new thing to do.

Right now I'm trying to land my first junior developer role. I recently graduated from university and found out that what I was taught there (PHP and pre-ES6 style Javascript) is pretty much on its way out nowadays. I'm currently re-factoring all my school projects to use modern, "hot" new libraries like React.

Yeah, that's the endless cycle. There's always three stacks: the one you're replacing, the one you're replacing it with, and the one that's coming down the pike to replace that one. As long as you can learn new tools quick, you'll be fine.
