If I knew the private and public key can I employ a MITM without addr

Posted 04 March 2018 - 09:50 PM

Ok,

Lets say I know the private and public key for a handshake between a client and a server, and lets say I also know the source code that the client uses, but I do not know the IP address and port for the server or the client, can I still employ a MITM (man in the middle) only knowing the reverse proxy information that the client has in its info for the server's ip addr. In other words, the client sends data to the server via the server's reverse proxy, can i use this same reverse proxy and capture packets with my added knowledge of the private and public keys of the diffie-hellman key exchange.

Just trying to figure out how MITM attacks work. Thanks,

I think that would be too little information.

Just from the verbage alone :
How do you figure MITM works with not being able to put your traffic... in the middle? I would think that one would need to know both client & server in order to be in the middle.
