Is there an option to "wrap" your website in an app?

Posted 23 March 2018 - 10:26 AM

If I have a ready website, and until there will be a native app ready, is it possible to just "wrap" the website in an app so that when you launch it, it will simply launch something like a browser which will show your website?

Just like you view it on Chrome for example on your device, so a thing that wraps it

Thanks

You want all the website files locally bound up in some app?

If that's the case - sure.. plenty of options out there thatwork to some degree based on the way your website is formatted.

Example:
https://gonative.io/
https://phonegap.com/
https://cordova.apache.org/

What is the difficulty to convert a bootstrap built website (So that it's really looking good on mobile devices browsers already) to a mobile using one of your methods? I just want to know if I should take the time learning them or focus on the website first

*shrug* Medium?

I don't convert a site to a mobile apps, but instead just make a mobile app.

Certain you should check them, or any other that the googles pops up in a cursory search.

Bootstrap is meant to be mobile friendly, I thought, so a site should already look good in a mobile browser.

If you write the HTML and classes per their instructions, otherwise it can get messy as well (mine is not perfect either :whistling:, but it's surely better than my own css )
