Sorry for the absence

Posted 15 January 2008 - 02:58 PM

As some of you know, I haven't been posting at close to my normal rate for over a month now. Well some here know the medical issues Ive been going through, and at the same time I was rebuilding the engine in my wife's Corolla and working on 2 large Web Applications:

New:

  • Rods
  • Pistons
  • Rings
  • Thrust Washers
  • Crank
  • All gaskets & seals
  • Valves (springs, holders, the works, also oversized valves)
  • Head & Block milled to specs
  • Injectors
  • Forced Cold Air Induction
  • Many misc items

I have my neurological exam on 22JAN (for those who know whats going on), just put the finishing touches on the wifes new engine, so I should be around a little more often than I have been for the past month or so. I apologize to the Team for my lack of patrolling my forums, but it will get better now (still working on 2 major Web Applications though lol)

Psycho, your kudos tell me you need a long break from Dream In Code so I'm not surprised if you decide to not post at all for a while.

Well, just drove my wifes car (the one I just rebuilt the engine in) for the first time! Its so funny that I got the same feeling from knowing I did a good job and rebuilt it right as I do when an application operates the way I want to. This was a complete rebuild, only parts still there are the block and the head, but both of them were milled and polished.

I just had to pat myself on the back because, in my condition, I spent the last 4 days outside in 15 degree weather putting it back together and it started the first time I turned it over! :)

marko. i'm pretty sure your footer rotates. and i personally request that you make it static with that picture of julia stiles. 1) she hasn't been hot since save the last dance. 2) she is here.

edit after first post : ah fack. i don't want to see the xps now.

edit after second post : aaah, there we go.
