Look into a program called Norton Ghost, I thik that works with NTFS but im not sure.
Hell, it would be better in the long run just to use your 100Gig as a data drive and use ur existing 30 as your OS/program drive. But then again, you should reload your OS ne way cuz it makes shit good.

Norton Ghost is overpriced. I know there's a good, FREE partition management software... can't remember what it's called...

yeah, thanks vetty for the solution. I'm using windows backup to backup my registry and settings, then copy the rest over manually. Sounds like it's gonna work, i'll tell when i'm done!

I find it hard to believe that the HD didn't come with software to do it. Seagate, WD, Maxtor...etc. They all come with software for making a mirror of the old drive on the new one. I was using NTFS with my old drive on XP and the MaxBlaster software that came with the new drive had no problem making an exact copy. If it didn't, I would check the manufacturer's site. I know Maxtor has it there for download, but only will work on a Maxtor drive though.

Tracker I Could Snail Mail You a Licenced Ghost Boot Disk If You Like.
We were sent a Eval Copy Of Ghost with 10 Licences I Have Created a Boot disk for you using one of those Licences This should allow you to copy your Harddrive
The only thing is that it will expire in 30 days and after that it may not work.
I Have to Mail the disk Because there is some kind of copy protection that Gets written to the floppy when it is made. Shoot me your Snail Mail Address I HAve a Mailer ready to go
