Oracle sql developer, how do you add quotation mark on selected items?

Posted 26 July 2018 - 06:24 PM

For example, there are something like this on worksheet.

dfgafafd
afdafaad
afafadfa
adfadfaf
afadfadf

How do you add quotation mark on all of them fast? is there a shortcut key to add quotation mark on all selected item here? I looked up everywhere on youtube, google, shortcut list whatever but couldn't find it. I am sick of adding quotation mark one by one on each line.

On windows the ALT key, click, and drag down a straight line helps.. or dumping it all in excel first and then coding the cells to append quotes.

Alt + drag down don't work. :(

I was hoping to do it without going to excel sheet and copy/paste. :(

I haven't come across any "surround by quotes" function in any db workspace.

What editor/IDE are you using? Shortcut keys are specific to the environment.

As indicated, some editors have multiline editing and/or regex replace options. A simple SQL command prompt or editor is unlikely to have such features.
