vb6 future

Posted 08 August 2018 - 08:39 AM

I am still programming in vb6 which has become an ancient old language.
I tried vb.net but it is quite different from vb6.
Do you think vb6 will close down in future
I yes, then which is the language similar to vb6 which I can learn easily
so that I can survive for a few more years.
Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Yes VB6 is old.
VB.NET would be an easier transition.
C# would be better if you are in the .NET/Microsoft stack.

A language can't "close down". Companies & operating systems can, however, progress to where VB6 no longer functions.
