I always love chatting to recruiters, never drive me up the wall or nothing. However, they are the best way to find good jobs without having to put work in yourself.

Tell that guy to sit and spin, and remind him that the full quote is "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one."
Could be worse, at least you're not relegated to trying to find jobs for other people.
OK, back to the road rage channel on Youtube.

Withdrawal funds from retirement account, take 2: denied.
The TIAA customer service rep says, "I don't see an issue. Shouldn't be a problem to withdraw the money."
University Benefits rep says, "It was merely coded wrong. Send it back with the correct coding and we'll approve it."
TIAA claims rep says, "It's a guaranteed account. You have nothing available for withdraw, vested or otherwise. Sorry, lady."
It's starting to look like a personal loan and a second job to pay for it is going to be our only option. Motherfucker.

Dumb ass request of the week:
We have an online RSVP form for a specific event. Once a week, I run the report and send it to the organizer in an Excel spreadsheet. Today, the request came through asking that I start sending the report alphabetized by last name. Dude, it's an Excel sheet. It's literally a matter of highlighting the content and clicking the sort button.
Personally, I believe if you have a master's degree in business and you don't know how to sort an Excel file, you should lose your business degree. It's the equivalent of a writer not knowing how to bold text in Word.
Or maybe I'm just cranky this morning.

I'm sorry about the loan thing B9.
I lost my 1v1 for team captaincy by a large margin lmao. Should've known better than to challenge a dps/off-tank main to a mystery 1v1 duel (mostly dps/off-tank).

Overwhelmed and feeling fully exhausted at the moment. I have a shit ton due in a week, and they just put half of it on my plate; the other half was waiting on someone else and they weren't expecting to be done with it until the beginning of December. FML.
Sorry to hear B9. We ran into issues when we were looking, but everything was mangled and I eventually gave up for the time being.

I got home yesterday, made food for my girlfriend and then went straight to sleep. Forgot to put my phone on charge, so that is dying currently, but did get caught up on sleep.
My girlfriend is still suffering from her wreck, clearly has a concussion and is in a lot of just general pain. My friend at the cop shop pulled the tape and said it was very clear that both parties were actually at fault. He then presented that information to the insurance agency in an official capacity for us.
The insurance agency then called my girlfriend to tell her that due to it being a 50/50 split on the blame for the accident they will only be paying out for 50% of the damage on the other party's car and that they would be paying out for exactly 0% of my girlfriend's car (My girlfriend and the other party share an insurance agent). However they will cover the towing costs for my girlfriend's car, which isn't bad as another friend of mine is the one that towed it away so he is just going to print out an invoice for us to give to the agent and then we are going to part out and scrap the car.
My friend on the force said he will talk to a judge and see if it is worth her trying to fight her ticket, given the video evidence, but that he doesn't think it will be productive.

Time to find a new insurance company. Assuming you don't just have a Liability Policy, I don't care if you are completely at fault, that is still what insurance is for!!!

This is what I said. Personally, I think it's absolutely ridiculous. Just the whole thing.
Regardless, right now she is without a car. This is unlikely to change until after we move in November and we have some excess capital available to get a new one. I'm talking to a few people I know that run garages and scrap yards in the area to see if they might have some kind of runner we can take for free (or defer payment until after November at least), so hopefully I can find something for her soon.
I mean, situations like this are why I go out of my way to make as many contacts as possible.

Man, I'm so glad that I have USAA. They don't care what happened, they just want to make sure you're taken care of. They've even helped me deal with other insurance companies when someone else was at fault.

I would go back to USAA, but... I had a vehicle insured with them while I was in. I traded it in and they wanted me to payout the remaining balance on the policy of the vehicle I traded. Which makes no sense considering I no longer had it and they never paid a claim out on it either. They wouldn't even insure the vehicle I traded it for until it was paid off. Otherwise, I would be right back with them.

Might I suggest Nationwide? They're very customer oriented I think. >=3

Our soon to be new Landlord is an Executive at State Farm. I'm already with them but would want to move to a local agent after we move to the new place. So, my intention is to talk to him about that and about getting her on with someone at State Farm.

astonecipher - Wow, that's ridiculous. I'm not sure when that was, but I've never had issues cancelling policies with them. That would have driven me away too...
