One aspx page updated in web server

Posted 06 September 2018 - 07:05 AM

I used "Publish web site" to release asp.net apps.

First, publish apps and save into local folder.

Second, copy entire contents in local folder and overwrite to the folder in web server.

If I only update html part in one aspx page, how to publish one pasx page to web server without overwrite entire folder?

I typically just replace the ASPX pages and the BIN folder. Unless the JS, images, etc changed then those stay as they are.

I imagine you could see about just copying the single aspx page and the corresponding file in the bin.

If you setup a deployment pipeline, it wont matter. If you only changed one file, what difference does it make to move the build over?
