Create mapped path

Hi,
Path f:\test, is already existing within Win 7 machine, and I want to map y: to "f:\test". How?

If you want *nix style path mapping on Windows you would have to install a Unix like environment like CygWin onto your Windows 7 machine,

As you have found Windows is not Unix and therefore does not have the same Unix like features,

Surprisingly enough it has Windows-like features.

If you are just asking how to do this from within Windows 7 then use File Manager and right-click "This PC" (or whatever it was called in Windows 7) and choose Map Network Drive.

If you are looking for a script to do this then it should be easy enough to find with a Google (or Bing, if you are that way inclined) search; give it a stab.
