Issues with installing npm on windows

Posted 31 January 2019 - 02:52 PM

I'm trying to install npm on my vagrant environment on windows. When I do the install, it always stops when it gets to fsevents. I've tried running npm i --no-optional but it does the same thing. I've tried deleting the node_modules folder and running the commands but run into the same issue.
currently have npm version 6.4.1 and nodev8.15.0
Any suggestions?

Are you using Powershell or direct installer EXE?
