Windows Authentication on Linux

Posted 08 March 2019 - 12:27 PM

Hi everyone,

My company is thinking about making a switch to linux servers to host our web applications and we will be using docker for that. The concern that we are having is that we currently use IIS and Windows Authentication.

How would I be able to implement windows authentication on a linux server? I remember reading that I might be able to use OAuth and then connect it to linux in some way.

Has anyone done something like that before in the .NET Core framework?

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Are you trying to use Federated or AD for the credentialing?

We decided to stay on windows server using IIS.

How would I enable windows authentication and authorization? I have been trying to lookup Authorization for active directory groups and so forth, but I can't find any resources. Every resource shows me how to do Authorization based off of roles defined from a DB
