Chroot environment question

Hi, first off Iím not a computer programmer or know anything about coding. I really need to be educated in lamens terms and if someone could please help me Iíd forever be great full. I was told by someone that Iím in a chrooted environment and someone has wrecked my homestead. I was told I needed a power wash to clear the cride and maybe an electric fence. Now I have no idea what all that actually means and really need to know. Also I wanted to know what chroot hunt was. Please help me out guys. I just use my home internet with my phone, nothing else. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ricky

I have no idea either. I've never once powerwashed my computer or put an electric fence around it.

If you think you're chrooted, type echo $PATH & find out. To undo it, couldn't you just set path or exit shell & log back in?
