I'm sure you're already aware of this, but the scale can be a big demotivator if you let it. I think the best practice that I've come across is to weigh yourself in the morning, and log the number. You're interested in progress over time, not daily fluctuations.

I've been doing... okay on my morning exercise/yoga routine. Meaning, I've been spending twenty minutes to half an hour doing some stretching and exercise most mornings. Let's say, four to five out of seven.

This is the first time I've weighed myself in like 3 weeks, so it's not like I'm weighing myself every day.

Doctor is sending me for more bloodwork and gave me a stool sample kit (oh, joy!). Apparently my decades long history of extremely low hemoglobin has finally become worrisome enough to warrant further investigation.

Still working out in my basement in the wee hours of the morning, but that will come to an abrupt end next month when my mother-in-law has her knee replaced and will be living in the basement for three weeks. I'm not going to wake her up before the ass crack of dawn because I want to exercise. Once she's rehabilitated and back to her own place, I'll resume my efforts.

Easter was a blur of food and desserts and I sat back and enjoyed it. But now it's back on the wagon. So long, buffet table of pies. See you at Christmas, random assortments of chocolate. Until Thanksgiving, mashed potatoes. Le sigh.

My girlfriend and I are currently failing on our keto diet. I had a breakdown over wanting to wear a top but concerned that it'll get white marks on it, so my girlfriend decided perhaps we needed to have some carbs back in the house... So, all my fault. We were doing so well with it but now it's really hard to get back on it.

I still don't see what that has to do with carbs. I might just be dumb though.

She's saying the diet made her so cranky and emotional that she started crying over silly things, like the fear of getting deodorant on a shirt. Her girlfriend brought the carbs back for the sake of Techno's sanity.

The first time I ever tried the South Beach diet, I made it a week in before my mother called me a bitch and threw a Hershey bar at my head.

This is exactly right, we intend to restart the diet again but now we broke it that is no easy feat.
