Serial port string capture

Posted 22 July 2019 - 10:31 AM

Hi,

This is an OLD thread, but am using a program i made a while ago and same commands as used on this program.
What I am trying to do is change the "Command X" to a different color. Each Write I am doing shows up in my Text Box and gets a response from the device it is connected to. so I would like the Write to be a different color from the Response.

Example:

Private Sub Button6_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button6.Click
65
SerialPort1.Write("Command X")

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

You would most likely want to flip to using a 'richtextbox', add the text, select the text, and change out the selected text's color.
