How to change font color in a menu item

Posted 01 September 2019 - 11:25 AM

Hi!

I am starting a blog on Wordpress. I've coded web pages when I was 10-12 years old but I'm feeling quite rusty. :)

So, I am trying to make a menu item (named formation gratuite ) appear like an aqua button. I would like the font to be white instead of black. However, it does not work when I put it in the code.

Also, when I hover on the button, the font is aqua just like the background...

I would also like the aqua box to be a bit bigger than the text. Does anyone know how to do it?

Here is the code and I will join a print screen. Thank you for your help!

.formationgratuite-nav a{
background: #00ccb7;
border-radius: 20px;
color: #FFFFFF;
}

.formationgratuite-nav a{
color: #FFFFFF;
}

.formationgratuite-nav a:hover {
background: #00ccb7;
border-radius: 20px;
color: #FFFFFF;
}

Here is the print screen.

So, I found it; I needed to put a !important after my coding to overrule the theme. :) Thanks anyway!
