Poor performance of web-application in Safari (iOS)

Posted 03 September 2019 - 08:35 PM

Hello

I have made a small web-application to scan QR-Codes on tickets... To check if the ticket is valid.
It works and performs great on Android devices!

However, on iOS (Safari) I get issues with both the performance and the user interface...

1) User Interface
There is no slide-animation when swiping to the right in Safari... The slide-animation is working for left-swipe though...

2) Performance issues
While the user interface being a bit buggy is a only a small problem, I am a lot more worried about the performance issues. I use a library called Instascan (shout out to Schmich), like said before, it scans QR-Codes on Android EXTREMELY fast. However, on Safari (iOS) it sometimes doesn't detect the QR-Codes or it takes a very long time... Does somebody know how to improve the performance of this? So that it also scans fast on iOS?

Thanks!
