Inconceivable!

Quote

There’s a shortage of perfect movies in this world. It would be a pity to damage this one.

I can't help thinking that the best way to ensure that Hollywood stops doing mindless remakes is to stop going to see mindless remakes.

It works for Microsoft - how often have they re-released basically the same OS?

1) if it's a great movie, of course it has obvious value, and will be remade.

2) if it flopped the first time, "somebody needs to do it right" and it will be remade

Basically if it exists to be copied, hollywood is better at that than the creative coming-up-with-a-thing-to-copy part.

Fun game.. what would be a conceivable, but terrible, casting Hollywood would try and put to this alleged movie?

My entry:

Westley - Brie Larson
Inigo Montoya - Wil Smith or Taron Egerton
Prince Humperdinck - Angelina Jolie
Vizzini - Melissa McCarthy or Alec Baldwin
Fezzik - Vin Disel
The Princess Bride - Channing Tatum or Daniel Radcliffe

Miracle Max - Danny Devito
Vizzini - Michael Meyers (no mask)
Fezzik - Michael Meyers (mask) Jason Mamoa
Westley - Taylor Lautner
Buttercup - Kristen Stewart
Prince Humperdink - Robert Pattinson
Inigo Montoya - George Lopez

EDIT: Masked Michael Meyers is a bit too inconceivable

Reads like someone was on a refresh go-around of the vampire/werewolves movie set.

Never seen or read them, it's just what came to mind when I set the Ridiculous parameter to "high" and hit "Start without debugging". I had to ask IMDB for help.

A remake of The Princess Bride will be like Highlander 2... There can only be one.
