how to include "Approved" and "Reject" button in vb.ne

Posted 15 October 2019 - 01:20 AM

I'm creating a module that sends email to managers for their approval after a specific user hits the save button in vb.net. I want to know how can i include an "Approved" and "Reject" button to the email that automatically sent to managers so the managers can click the Approved or Reject button as their reply?

Please i need your support on this.

Thank you very much.

Thats not a email you want to send, it is a appointment/meeting request.

What are you using to send the 'Email'?

Scrap that, is it a like an appointment or a meeting request? Think I just assumed that.

I'm using vb.net code to send email. This is for authorization to work overtime that needs managers approval. For example, a specific employee will enter his request using vb.net application then after he save his request, the program will automatically sends an email to the manager with the details of the overtime work. I want to know if its possible to include a command on that email as an option for the manager whether to approve or reject the request. Let say "Approved" and "Reject" button, if the managers click the Approved button, the status of that specific request will automatically updated to "Approved" on the database.

Just want to know if its possible.
Thank you very much.

You send an html email out. The link back goes to an endpoint with the id of the requested item. The endpoint takes care of updating the system.

@Coolets1419 - how about you try and see what you come up with. Asking people to do your work for you is bad form around here.

@modi123_1, i'm not asking @astonecipher to do my work, i am just asking for help to see how am i going to achieve what i am trying to do, because i have seen some people here that they are sharing their ideas by showing sample codes for someone who wants to so something but having difficulties to accomplish it. But i respect your opinion and i understand. Again thank you to @astonecipher for sparing time to give his idea on how am i able to to what i am trying to accomplish.

If you need sample html for a form, you are doing something too advanced for your current ability.
